Description
A fisherman who has caught a tailing red-fish will never forget the thrill of battling this powerful fish. The memory of the vivid gold, brown and silver of this fish is captured in this carving. every piece of the habitat has been hand carved from Tupelo wood, detailed and painted to resemble the true to nature habitat of this fish.
All our wood carvings are made in our art studio here in the coastal bend of Texas. Each piece is band sawed, then carved to shape. Intricate scale and fin detail is accomplished with a combination of stoning and burning (pyrography). Once the wildlife carving and it’s habitat is completed, the sculpture is sealed and then painted using a combination of airbrushing and artists brushes. The painting medium used is acrylic paint especially developed for aquatic wildlife.
Many pieces have been crafted using patterns that we created in our studio or modified by us. You are buying an item that is unique and hand made.
